24x24 Antique Decorative Tin Ceiling Tile

WOW!! We couldn't wait for the clock to strike 10 this morning...why!?? because we couldn't wait to bring you these found in NYC, tin tiles, from the early 1900's! Our collector roamed many many houses and carefully selected and rescued ceilings from houses that are deemed to be demolished. After the ceilings were brought down they were hand cut into 24x24 square tiles. It TRULY is dear to our hearts to be able to bring you steals that we know carry stories of our American past...

This charming pressed tin tile is an American tradition of previous centuries. Originally used to imitate expensive European plasterwork, these tiles were crafted of pressed metal with a white painted finish. These antique ceiling tiles could show wear, discoloring, rust, scratches, age, dents, timeworn marks, dust! All due to usage and old age… Please click on the arrows in the main photos box above to see close ups and more shots…

Use these tiles for display, as creative backdrops, as one of a kind wall art (hung or on a table leaning against a wall), photo props, faux headboards and so much more! We love that these will tie beautifully into any space with their natural colors and treasured ora. Place them on top of a mantel, on a gallery wall as the final touch, or in the kitchen propped up against the counter.

PS: Check out how our friend @houseoffninetysix is using her ceiling tile in photos #2-4 :)
